I'm curious, have you ever read/reviewed "The Ill-Made Mute" by Cecelia Dart-Thornton? My sister checked it out from the library, I read it just because and, well... let's just say I've never read another book that made me read through to the end while skipping so much of it at the same time. I was curious to see what you thought of it, since your other reviews are so interesting... (Reply to this) (Thread) Let's say tried to read it. The language really got to me; so much of it simply didn't make sense. And from what I've heard about the future plotline, I made the right choice stopping where I did.
Admittedly, it's a hard one to get into. I think because the world is rather strange and, well, it takes a while to figure out what the strange stuff actually is. -Jace (Reply to this) (Parent)
Ahhh, good to know. Yeah, so much of it seemed to me like "my fairy folklore research, let me show you it". I liked the beginning parts, but by the end I couldn't tell what was going on half the time, so I just skipped past to try to find more actual plot. I don't think I'll be searching out the others, either... (Reply to this) (Parent) |
