I'm really looking forward to seeing some of your writing. I've been reading the rants for about a year now, but I've yet to see major piece of your writing, and I can't wait to see how your general hatred of fantasy tropes weaves into your narrative.

In this case, some of the tropes will be hated on by not being present. There's no quest to save the world, for example; the action stays focused on a small area and a small group of people. And there's no destiny, no royalty, no prophecies. And the religion is one that the majority of the characters either believe in or can't just dismiss outright (I get irritated when it seems like the gods' main purpose in a fantasy world is to hunt down the heroine or dispense almighty powers to her).
